“Every child's journey is unique — and every parent deserves to feel informed, supported, and never alone. At Students Guided Path, we walk this path together.
Our Story
Students Guided Path was born from a simple but powerful belief: that every family — regardless of background, language, or experience — deserves access to the tools and community they need to help their child thrive.
What started as one mother's search for answers has grown into a space where parents can find real resources, connect with others who understand, and feel confident advocating for their children.
We believe that when parents are empowered and children feel supported, entire communities rise together. We're just getting started — and we're building this with you.
Our Mission
Empower parents of children with attention differences by providing resources, accessible education, and strong community network to foster family success and help every student thrive
Child-Centered
Focusing on the unique academic and emotional needs of every student and family we serve — because no two children experience ADHD the same way.
Community
Fostering a strong community where parents, children, educators, and subject matter experts come together to share experiences, resources, and support.
Empowerment
Providing educational resources that empower both children and parents to navigate the challenges of ADHD effectively — giving every family the tools and confidence to advocate for themselves.
Support
Addressing not only academic needs but also the social, emotional, and behavioral aspects of a child's development — because thriving means more than just grades.
The Leadership Team

Ivonne Terrero
President & Founder
Ivonne is a mother of two children with ADHD — and like many parents, she found herself navigating that journey almost entirely alone. When her daughter needed more than just support, she needed a clear, structured plan to succeed at school, Ivonne searched for guidance and found very little that was accessible, affordable, or truly understood their experience. Without a community to lean on, she did what mothers do — she figured it out, one sleepless night at a time. And then she built the resource she wished had existed.

Paola Claros
Secretary
For Paola, the mission of Students Guided Path is a blend of professional expertise and a deeply personal calling. As a Senior Engineering Manager in the telehealth industry and a mother to a young child, Paola understands the critical role that accessible mental health education plays in a family's success. Paola's advocacy is rooted in her own "aha moment" regarding neurodiversity. Her experience navigating the intersection of therapy and personal discovery led her to a profound realization: many traits often attributed to personality are actually rooted in unique cognitive wiring. This journey toward understanding the brain — supported by professional guidance and family — ignited her passion for neurodiversity awareness. She believes that no family should have to navigate this path without a clear map. On the board, Paola uses her background in scalable system design to advocate for the creation of human-centered digital tools. By focusing on accessibility and iterative growth, she is helping Students Guided Path build a future where every student is empowered by an environment that understands and honors their unique way of thinking.

Shannel Franco
Treasurer
Shannel serves as Treasurer for Students Guided Path. She is a Lead Behavior Technician at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, where she supports children, adolescents, and adults using evidence-based practices while collaborating closely with families and interdisciplinary teams. Through years of working with students facing a wide range of learning and developmental needs, she has developed a strong appreciation for the importance of accessible resources, practical strategies, and community support — particularly for families navigating attention-related challenges such as ADHD. Shannel has also contributed as a Subject Matter Expert for the Behavior Intervention Certification Council, supporting the development and review of certification standards for behavior technicians. As Treasurer, she is committed to helping Students Guided Path grow responsibly while fostering a community where families feel informed, supported, and empowered to help students reach their full potential.
Our Community
You don't have to navigate this alone. If you're a parent in Alameda or the Bay Area raising a child with ADHD, we're building this community for you — a place where you can find real answers, connect with other families who get it, and feel supported every step of the way. Whether you're newly diagnosed or years into the journey, Students Guided Path is here to make sure no family in our community ever feels lost or without resources.
